How We Started

A lawn route that kept getting asked to do more.

Green Horizon Collective started in 2012 as a two-man mowing route working residential yards around Anniston. Within two years, clients with acreage started asking the same crew to lay out garden plots, clear fence lines, and fix the mower when it wouldn't turn over.

Rather than refer that work out, we learned it. By 2016 we'd added a design side and a small equipment shop. By 2019 we were framing farm yard structures ourselves instead of subcontracting them.

Today Green Horizon Collective is a full agricultural design, build, and maintenance outfit — but the standard hasn't changed: the crew that plans your ground is the crew that keeps showing up to it.

We don't hand a client a plan and walk away. If we drew the layout, we're the ones who'll be back in March to make sure it drained the way we said it would.

Fourteen Seasons

How the collective grew.

Each stage came from clients asking for one more thing — until the "one more thing" became half the business.

2012

The mowing route begins

Two mowers, a single trailer, and a route of residential yards across Anniston and Oxford.

2015

First agricultural design contracts

Landowners started asking us to plan drainage and crop rows, not just mow around them.

2017

Equipment shop opens

A small maintenance bay went up so tractors and mowers stopped sitting idle waiting on outside repair.

2019

Farm yard construction crew added

Carpentry and framing crew brought in-house to build barns, sheds, and fencing directly.

2022

Retainer program launched

Foundation, Momentum, and Authority tiers introduced so clients could keep one crew on call year-round.

2026

260+ properties under care

From half-acre yards to multi-acre row crop operations across Calhoun County and beyond.

What We Hold To

Four things that don't change job to job.

Value 01

Walk it first

No design or quote goes out before someone has actually stood on the property.

Value 02

Say the real timeline

We'd rather tell you six weeks and mean it than promise three and slip.

Value 03

Keep the same faces

The crew you meet at the walkthrough is the crew that comes back for service calls.

Value 04

Leave it better tended

Every visit ends with the ground in better shape than we found it, not just the invoice line done.
